One morning of this hot weather summer season, looking for a bit of fresh air we made a stop there and it was charming: quiet fresh blue waters, nobody in sight.
Taking out my camera was irresistible. I hope you like the pictures 🙂

“Formation of a quantumhenge” megalith monument of granite, artwork of Judith Neunhäuserer in front of the Center for Quantum Engineering at TUM campus in Garching of the Technical University of Munich.
The art inspiration was an iconic quantum experiment from Crommie M.F., Lutz C.P., Eigler D.M. “Confinement of electrons to quantum corrals on a metal surface“, in: Science. 1993. V. 262.P. 218ff. (painstakingly copied from the board there 🙂 )
Suggestive, indeed, and discovered by chance, driving along the campus.
The first impression was surprise “How! Why nobody told me that we have a megalith Stonehenge here!”
Then came the curiosity.
Walking around it, I thought I saw a piece looking like the Rosetta stone inside the circle.
Worth a visit, definitely!
Strange days now, at corona virus time. My web job runs as usual but I find more time to rediscover the nature and the apple blossoms: the spring air is crystal clear and I enjoy immensely my bicycle tours around, appreciating what is often taken for granted.
I also took the opportunity of revisiting my local shoots and processing some of them as watercolors. It is a loving tribute to this little university town with a healthy rural flair, so near at a magnificent big city like Munich.
Yes, nothing wrong with your eyes: a LAKE! And a damn beautiful one too, with a wonderful view on the Bavarian Alps, a complete immersion into unpolluted nature, clear waters, plenty of fishes, and as a topping an antique though entirely restored inn right on the bank, enjoyed for holiday and relax (among so many others) also by Sigmund Freud.
All included in the package (well, except for the Alps…)
Such an opportunity doesn’t really occur every century, nor does it having to design a website for it.
Et voilà : the Thumsee lake in Germany, near the Austrian border and 20 minutes away from Salzburg (does the name “Mozart” ring a bell?).
